Dear Director Christensen,
Hope this letter finds you well.
I am Brian Wu, the publisher of the Mandarin version of “The Slaughter”. According to recent News in Taiwan, Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-zhe will go to the United States in the near future. Therefore, I am writing this letter to you. I hope that you can notice Mayor Ko’s involvement in violations of international human rights and the possibility of violations of the US law.
According to the 11th question of the Security Information in the US DS-160 Form Guide, Security and Background, “have you ever been directly involved in the coercive transplantation of human organs or bodily tissue?” Taiwan, as a country or sovereign independent region to the US, Taiwanese citizens are eligible for visa-free entry into the United States. Does mayor Ko Wen-zhe have to complete the DS-160 before going to the US since he is a government official? Or, has he already completed the DS-160 when traveling to the US during March in 2016? Was his answer to the 11th question of the Security Information No? Was his behavior an act of deceiving the US government?
Based on the author of “The Slaughter”, Ethan Gutmann, an American international human rights investigator, the account in the book of his interview with Ko Wen-zhe in 2008, Ko’s involvement in China organ harvesting and organ trade industry was very clear. Before the publication of the book, those account was all directly confirmed by Ko himself through e-mails. I will attach the English and Mandarin version and Ko’s confirming e-mail to this letter.
In an international press conference in Taipei in October 2018, Ethan Gutmann made it clear that Ko Wen-zhe has played three important roles in Falun Gong organ harvesting in China. The first, a middleman of Taiwanese people organ transplant tourism to China. The second, a salesman of ECMO. The third, a mentor teaching Chinese surgeons to use ECMO. ECMO is a medical product form Medtronic, an American company. Ko Wen-zhe promoted ECMO to China and innovated off-label use of ECMO for live organ transplant surgery. ECMO did help transplant surgery much and soon became a key technique in organ industry chain in China. This criminal suspicion of Ko occurred not only in China, but also in “Non-heart-beating Donation" in Taiwan. Relevant papers have been revealed on the Internet, and our government departments are also investigating in this case now.
The above is just my explain to the fact itself to you. If you would like to know more about the details of Mayor Ko’s violations of international human rights and the US law, I would be glad to introduce some of my friends to you, including Ethan Gutmann who was a nominee for the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize, Taiwanese organ transplant surgeons who have a completed understanding of the case, professionals on Chinese human rights, and American lawyers. They would be willing to explain you more details in this case.
